There are places in this world that have an attraction that cannot be bottled—a pull that cannot be packaged. Places that, when described, always include the word, “love.” There are places that have hosted families through generations, as parents bring their children back to experience what they experienced, because they want them to know the best part of their childhood. Stony Glen is one of those places. With a legacy starting in 1947, Stony Glen has touched the lives of families and children for more than 70 years—leaving a footprint that cannot be measured.

We would like to invite you to be a part of that footprint. While restrictions due to COVID-19 have varied from state to state, there are two things that Ohioans have been blessed with—two things that bring smiles to our faces and clearness to our minds—the ability to enjoy creation and the gift of physical exercise. Joining those two together, and with the desire to provide an event for others to enjoy in a time when people are longing for the familiar, Stony Glen plans to once again host Run the Glen, our 5k and 15k Trail Run on Labor Day weekend—Saturday, September 4th—and we would like to invite you to be a part of it. We want to give you the chance to gift others with a brief glimpse of normalcy and the opportunity to rejoice in God’s creation. While we don’t know what the future holds, and we acknowledge that it may end up being an impossibility, we are forging ahead, pressing on, in order to provide an event to people who may be earnestly hoping for it.

This summer may not look the way it has in the past, but that doesn’t mean that we will stop moving forward, working to support campers as best we can and continuing to improve camp. Your sponsorship will help us do that. It will help us provide for our employees, maintain and improve the campground, and make it the place that our campers remember, whenever they are able to return—whether this year or next.

Additionally, as a sponsor of this race, your donation funds Run the Glen and provides materials for the event. We will use sponsorships to purchase top finisher awards, t-shirts, and refreshments for registered race participants. Any sponsorship above those needs will go towards our camp—helping us keep the mission alive for our future guests.

If this is something you would like to be a part of but are hesitant about due to the uncertainty of the future, please know that, should we need to cancel the race, you will be given the opportunity to either receive your money back or donate it to the camp. We are attaching a list of the various sponsorship levels, to help you decide which one would be the best for you or your company.
